The Moon on the Water
One calm night, a gentle blue whale named Willow saw the moon resting on the surface of the sea. 'How beautiful,' she whispered. 'I only want a closer look.' She opened wide โ and gulp! โ the reflection vanished.
The Sky Goes Dark
Suddenly the sky above turned black. 'Oh no,' gasped Willow, 'did I swallow the moon?' The little fish and glowing jellyfish gathered around, worried in the dark.
A Light from Within
But then, deep inside Willow, a soft glow began to shine โ right through her, lighting the sea from within like a great gentle lantern.
Giving the Moon Back
Willow rose to the surface and let out a great, gentle breath. Up floated a glowing bubble that drifted high into the sky โ and popped, and there was the moon again, bright as ever.
The Sea Sleeps
The sea sighed with relief, the stars blinked back, and the moon smiled down. Willow drifted slowly beneath the gentle waves and, rocked by the tide, fell fast asleep.
Sleep tight โ there are more cozy stories waiting.
